Projects
At Eastside Community Hub, every project is designed to uplift lives, empower youth, and strengthen families. By combining sports, mentorship, life skills, and nutrition, we create holistic pathways for transformation in Umoja 3 Estate and beyond.
Hoops of Hope
Basketball is at the heart of our work. Through structured training, we equip young mothers (ages 15–25) with confidence, discipline, teamwork, and resilience. Off the court, participants gain access to:
Mentorship workshops (financial literacy, parenting, psychosocial support).
Nutrition interventions for themselves and their children.
Peer support groups that foster solidarity and reduce stigma.
Impact: 50+ young mothers and 150+ children benefit directly from this project.
Youth Mentorship & Life Skills
We run monthly workshops that provide youth with tools for resilience and self-reliance. Topics include:
Leadership and teamwork
Financial literacy
Vocational skills training
Stress management and wellbeing
These sessions prepare youth for both personal growth and economic opportunity.
Community Clean-Up Drives
Our clean-up campaigns mobilize youth to take ownership of their neighborhoods. By working together to keep Umoja 3 clean and safe, young people learn responsibility, teamwork, and civic engagement while building pride in their community.
Young Mothers Empowerment
Young mothers often face stigma, isolation, and poverty. Our empowerment program offers:
Safe spaces for connection and healing
Parenting and childcare guidance
